No, we're saying the USA are shit. Did anyone mention how good/bad England are? Nope. England didn't even qualify for Euro 2008 and yet we're still comfortable beating the USA.

Oh neither of you have said that, but the need to boast on here about how bad the opposition is would seem to lend to the CONNOTATION, not the exact definition, that you two think England are so vastly superior.

In my opinion, the English national team is filled with star players who have egos so large they cannot play as a unit. At least the US has heart and some fight in them, and a decent spirit. The English find someone to blame for their national team's woes (McLaren, Erikson), whilst the US actually works as a team to solve issues, not scapegoat.

But I've now learned my lesson...from now on, I will studiously ignore jibes at my country for nothing other than eliciting a reaction. It just isn't worth my effort to correct frequent falsehoods and ignorance.

i agree with you about england but that's not the point. the point is the good ole usa are fucking rubbish.
