Ladies and gentleman, your seemingly hated Adebayor has stated he will be signing a new contract and that he wants to be a Gunner. Rections......go.

never seen backtracking like it to be fair. ade needs to sack his agents / advisors right away.

they let the story run on way too long and did nothing to stop any speculations. Encouraged it in fact.

i'le give him a chance, clean slate etc for the new season :|

I think he had no other choice ... the way Milan just rejected Ade saying they have no more need for him after they signed Ronaldinho .. (and these are Ancelotti's words) he realized he is not that great as he thinks,.... as for AW he is now trying to repair the relationship with the fans for Ade so that he doesnt get booed out of the ground more than Real Madrid on Sunday ...

In the end lets see how he performs on the field now ...

Said all along he would be staying and that the whole situation got well out of hand. Really glad its sorted and I hope the fans will back him as they should have done in the first place.

Can someone having ATVO post a brief transcript of the Ade interview on Arsenal.com? I really want to hear him defend him being quoted in newspapers ...

Thanks f3955!!

I guess he pretty much washes his hands off all the crap about him and his transfer ... I am for one willing to give him the benefit of the doubt ... I guess

But

This is total BS ... do any of you seriously beleive that to be true?

i for for one believe that could be true.. he had gone through a whole season, and now finally it is his hoilday. why can't he wash his hand off football totally for some time..

i have also read from some reports that. ade is not the only one that is doing this. quite a few footballer actually don't touch things about football at all during their hoilday..

during a hoilday after a busy season is rest.. they can finally rest their body but why not their mind as well ?

Anyways ... now that this is done and dusted ... he can probably start scoring 30 goals (and getting 1500 offsides :s_wink ) this season again ... and then until next summer ... :s_cool

the one person I can imagine who will be MOST pissed would be Bendtner ... :s_wink ... he must have been thinking this was to be his year to get into the first team .. he still can but its so much more difficult ...

why should he in the first place..? in the press conference interview we all can see from skysport TV it is him in person, sitting infront of the media telling us what is his plan.. and i believe he mean what he said..

and for the crap that had came out after the press conference, the report that is so called interview by a skysports reported. is it a interview on tv or just a news reported written in words ?

i would choose to believe what i see on tv then what i hear or read.

Bendtner has looked awesome so far in the preseason, but this is going to seriously cut down his minutes. Interesting partnership with Vela though. Wouldn't be surprised to see him and Vela teaming up for some CC or FA Cup games, and possibly a few Premiership starts. He should still be a good sub though for the team this season and who knows with next summer.

no way sorry, his ability to hold the ball up and bring others into play is very very suspect. and he's a tad lazy
