Okay this specualtion is getting pretty heavy now... Starting to think there's no smoke without fire.

This would be an interesting one... 30 goals last season with huge room for improvement, he is the focal point of our attacks and is very well rounded. We want to keep him, he is one of our best players yet looks like he might go. This would be new... Someone leaving before/at their peak, as opposed to Henry/Vieira etc. I don't know if there is any truth in it, but what I do know is losing Adebayor/Lehmann/Hleb/Flamini in one summer is a hell of a loss to any squad... Sell him and it sends out all the wrong messages.

The only way I way I could see a positive outcome to Adebayor leaving is if David Villa was brought in as a replacement... but even then we take away a huge part of our game... Adebayor is our plan A and B... I'm getting ahead of myself, because I hope he stays. Oh well, at least it's not Cesc :)

BARCELONA claim they have agreed a £22.5million deal with Arsenal for Emmanuel Adebayor.

Nou Camp officials have been in talks with the striker’s representatives about a move.

And the Togo ace said on Friday he expected his future to be sorted out ‘in the next few days’.

Gunners chief Arsene Wenger had warned his top scorer was not for sale.

But Barca are adamant an agreement is in place with both club and player.

Newcastle’s Obafemi Martins or Russia’s Andrei Arshavin could replace him.

Arsenal left-back Gael Clichy has stunned Roma and Juventus by signing a new four-year contract.

this is comin from the sun though .. :s_dunno

Complete and utter bullshit story.

Ade is not going anywhere. He has said so himself on several occasions. He's under contract with the Gunners (yes Radford, I know, that usually doesn't mean shit..), and Wenger won't let him leave.

It's not going to happen. This is just another instance of Europe's big clubs trying to tap up...UEFA and FIFA should really take care of that as soon as Ronaldo goes to Real. :D

I was reluctant to believe any of the ade speculation, I even made a bet with a friend saying adebayor would still be a gooner next season. However the saying that F3955 used 'No Smoke without a Fire' is one that is scaring me.. I think that something is happening which is very under the radar, and most of Arsenals transfers are under the radar for a long time..

Im VERY worried that ade will be gone soon.. Especially as the rumours are now that he HAS gone, and we are just waiting to sign a replacement before we tell anyone!

I agree with Sipsy. With or without Ade, I believe we can challenge next term, but we are always just barely there, it seems. Losing 4 big stars in one summer is bad for our credibility. We would have to sign someone massive. like Villa, as "F" said. Arhsavin is out of our price range I believe, in salary. He needs an oily sugar daddy...unless he'd come for the football....????? Nah!

Do you remember that interview someone posted a month or so ago? Ade was interviewed on radio from Togo. He did then say that he was mainly motivated by money. Hearing that made me wonder if he would go when a big offer came along. I love the guy but I have shed my last tear over a transfer.

have to say i agree with you both here....it was the same with henry....all the talk from him was initially im going to stay then the rumours got crazy and he went

it will be a big loss considering we have no eduardo until at least september if we are lucky and van persie is made of cheap biscuit unless there is a striker signing in the pipeline

and if its villa i will walk all the way to london and kiss arsenes feet as he is sheer class
