5. only signed to piss them cunts off up the road (good mind you)

6. NOT FUCKING ARSENAL.

7. ditto ALL OF THE ABOVE (and a wrongun besides)

According to the holy gospel of truth that is the Daily Star, Xabi Alonso is definitely on his way to Arsenal. Once this deal is done, Liverpool can complete the summer's most protracted transfer saga and land Gareth Barry.

if true i think is great move. him and cesc will be dominate in the mid. they are use to playing with each other as well

I would also love for this to happen, but it is the Star reporting this and no one else.

A pairing of him and Cesc could be lethal with Nasri/Rosicky/Theo flanking them in a rotation situation. That said, I need a lot more evidence of this before I'll even come close to believing it to be true.

alonso's career is on the way down, hence why liverpool want to get rid.

wouldnt be a value for signing at 16 million. need an essien type of player.

fed up with the average c**t being mentioned in the same breath as Arsenal

As much as I like for us to bring in Alonso ... I dont think AW would do that coz of the price tag involved and it looks too much of a "high-profile" signing ... but as I said if I am turned wrong on my guess here I would be happy ... he also has that good long range shot which we are in need of ... :s_yes

although Alonso coming in would certainly mean the end of either Denilson/Diaby at Arsenal ... and thats another reason I remain doubtful ... :s_dunno

Would probably be a very good signing, but won't happen.
