Oh, and Wilshere is doing well too. It's gonna be a bit of a shock for him to be back in the reserves! Cos that's where he should go. He's only 16, you can't just throw him in there unless needs must. Carling and FA Cups, plus the odd sub appearance around Christmas and the end of the season, sure.

Arsene himself said he won't be in the reserves for long. He will be first team soon enough.

He's got the quality for it, that's obvious.

He's too good to be out of it for long. But at that age, he should be used sparingly. Enough to validate his existence in the squad but little enough to prevent him getting overuse injuries. But I maintain he should go back to the reserves, even if it is just for a month or so. He's 16 and being thrown in the first team like that can only inflate his ego - putting him back in the reserves will do him no end of good.

I'd agree with at least starting him at the reserves.

It's kind of a situation much like American baseball. If the kid is as amazing as he is reported, he'll own the "minors" (reserves in this case) and then get a call-up when he's proven his dominance isn't just a fluke.
