van persie is very good when everything is going well, nice touches passes etc but is of little use when the team are playing badly and struggling. unable to dig us out of a hole as henry could.

adebayor looks like he wants to be somewhere else, the feeling is mutual.

toure and gallas are pissing me off massively. clueless. gallas is a terrible captain.

need a ball winner in midfield urgently

I thought last night i would sleep on the result with a few bevys and review it this morning....

arsenal were shocking from start to finish, its all well and saying that if cesc had have been their, the result would have been diffrent. the boss has had all summer to bring in a central midfielder and hes has yet again played on his morals...

the boss has got to stop relaying on the kids and bring in experienced players. Hes had all summer to do it, and its been one excuse after the next as to why he wont be doing it.

here here

its just not working anymore. its that simple.
we have had 3 seasons of fuck all and now its time for action. im sorry but managers are judged by results and silverware.. no manager is imortal (even wenger) although alot of you seem to think his shit dont stink. wengers problem is that he is a pig headed stuborn fucker that will stick to his guns and try to prove eveyone else wrong even if its clear that things have to change. BIG TIME. his constant hard on for teenage players is costing us dearly now, and its pretty obvious that we need some experienced, IN PRIME players. 5 mil for a fucking teenager from a championship team?!
how long will it take for people to wake up and smell the regression?

I tend to be a gloom-and-doom sort of fellow. I think it comes naturally as an Arsenal and England fan. So, take the following with a grain of salt:

Arsene has stated that we are a selling team for the next few years. This is because we need to pay off the Stadium. So, when young players develop into top class players, Arsene will transfer them out. I no longer hold the illusion that Arsene is building a team from youth, into a dynasty that will reign for years.

With the performance such as yesterday, it is clear that Fabregas is the key to the midfield, and their are no other contenders for that position. It is also clear (and may I eat my own words), that Arsenal will not be winning the league this year. I believe that if we lose four or more matches, we will be out of contention for the league title. We have already lost one of those matches to a team that will probably be relegated this season. That means, we now have to win against one or two of the top 4 (if you don't count us) at their stadium. Watching some of the other teams in other matches, such as Sunderland et. al., I believe we have played two of the weaker teams so far (WBA and Fulham). We are going to be in a world of pain against middle-of-table teams.

All that said, there is a strong possibility Cesc will leave us at the end of the season. And (here it comes), if we are a selling team like Arsene says, I forsee us going back to the Arsenal of my father's days:

1960 to 1969 finished in middle of table (best position was 4th, worst was 14th)
1974 to 1988 finished in middle of table (best positioin was 3rd, worst was 17th)

I think we are heading for another severe drought, unless we get a sugar-daddy like Chelsea and Man. U.

and its a complete fucking disgrace that we find ourselves in this state.
how the fuck did we get into this mess? the stadium? i for one would of gladly stayed at highbury if this is all we can hope for.. hoping and praying for a top 4 finish. bollocks.

the manager?
im sorry but as much as i respect wenger for his past triumphs (which are becoming more and more of a distant memory each year) the bloke is clearly getting it ALL WRONG. surely to god he can see we need a few senior players in the strarting line up? surley to god he could have invested 5 million pounds in a better way than some kid from cardiff (who may or may not come good in 5 yrs from now) eboue central midfiled? is he fucking mad?

The Board??
well what can we say about these bunch of cunts? they clearly are fine with mediocrity. they take no fucking action what so ever regarding our regression. they are not blind they can see how far we have fallen just like everyone else. Dein would have never of stood for this. im starting to think tis russian bloke might not be bad news.

Ignoring the attack of calling it a "stupid statement," I will say there has been much speculation that Cesc will leave if there is no silverware this year. Plus, if I were him, a player in top form, I too would leave for more money and a better chance at getting silverware. It is that simple. As a professional, even if you love Arsenal, you want to be at the top even if that means you have to leave the team you love. I personally could not fault Cesc if he left at the end of this season, if we don't bring in any silverware. For the player, it is nothing personal, it is business.

Outlawed,

I agree with all you say. The Arsenal Board are just like the FA. They are holding onto what little power they have, and act like they are The Almighty, and don't change out of fear of change.

The board walk around with blinders on, and won't change the pay structure to bring in top class. They are old school, and will hold Arsenal in a death grip, not letting in new money for fear of losing control. Then when we are in the middle of the table and they act out of desperation, Arsenal will be less desireable as an acquisition, land the less influential (money-wise) will be able to buy the club and we will end up like Fulham, always struggling. Meanwhile, the likes of Chelsea and Man. U. will march on, as well as other teams that let in new money. I too think we need to let in this Usminov (or however you spell his name) in order to compete.

That is the biggest load of bollocks posted on this forum to date. Congratulations on that achievment.

casca it is not an 'attack' its just an unsubstantiated load of twaddle

ffs we lost one game, yes there are questions to be answered and im just as pissed off with the way we played but the way some people were talking on here and the officials you'd think the world had ended! how about you let the season get going a bit more before calling for everyones head

come on. have some faith.. we love the club for what it is even if one day we end up like fulham or whatever club u mention i believe many would still love the club with all they can.. no offences to anyone but fuck off glory hunter.. if whoever needs glory that badly and can't stand not getting anything in "years" fuck off and support chelsea that can buy everything in the world at the moment. ARSENAL FC dont need glory hunter fans.
