ARSENAL FC dont need glory hunter fans.

Yeah you are right, what was I thinking, we don't play to win; and none of us want glory for our Arsenal.

I'll love my team, no matter what; and I'll stick with them through thick and thin. But have no doubt, I want them to win.

arn't we all glory hunters? dont we all want the team to do the treble every season? or are you happy with mediocrity? cos im fucking not, and thats exactly where we are heading.
being comfortable with finishing 3rd or 4th every year is not something to be proud of.
seriously, the term glory hunter is nothing more than a term created by bitter supporters of a team that win fuck all.

Outlawed,

I agree with all you say. The Arsenal Board are just like the FA. They are holding onto what little power they have, and act like they are The Almighty, and don't change out of fear of change.

The board walk around with blinders on, and won't change the pay structure to bring in top class. They are old school, and will hold Arsenal in a death grip, not letting in new money for fear of losing control. Then when we are in the middle of the table and they act out of desperation, Arsenal will be less desireable as an acquisition, land the less influential (money-wise) will be able to buy the club and we will end up like Fulham, always struggling. Meanwhile, the likes of Chelsea and Man. U. will march on, as well as other teams that let in new money. I too think we need to let in this Usminov (or however you spell his name) in order to compete.

fuck me from one defeat you come out with that. christ

yea like the 4x2's, man city, the barcodes etc. its not just about money

but its not just one defeat, its 3 inconsistant seasons.

It's difficult for me to say that last season was all that inconsistent or disappointing. Had we not collapsed against Man U late or Chelsea and not drew against any one of those last teams, we would have won.

I think we need to remember this is only the 2nd week. We don't have Cesc back, or Eduardo or Rosicky. When we get all of them back and if we still aren't playing well, come talk to me about us really being in a bad state.

three top four finixhes is not inconsistant, a cup final and semis with a reserve team is not inconsistant. reading this and other forums its frankly pathetic at the reaction to a defeat and a poor performance. it happens.

day two after dunkirk, gallipoli, the somme, vietnam etc. just a few thoughts

1. we are always due a shit performance (boro away last season springs to mind)
2. i don't know if its the board or the boss who won't spend. all i know is WE AIN'T
3. there are players i would love at the club but i am against paying outragoues sums for british players and i am totally against giving players of fat boy franks ability (?) £140,000 a week
4. if you know and appreciate our history you will allow us up to 16 years (in my lifetime) without the league.
5. we are a special club for what we have and for what we have not acheived. also remember we HAVE not chased the money in aisia or cali thank god.
6. yes we were shit on saturday but sometimes we are. (bit of history here in 71 we lost 1-5 TO STOKE and still won the double) i know it won't happen this season but just a thought
7. do you know what it does'nt matter what we acheive i love being a gooner
8. AW is the best thing that has happened to us since GG
9. I WILL BE THERE WHEN WE WIN THE LEAGUE AGAIN.......................................will you?
10. stop moaning too much.........except about eboue and wallcott. lol
11.enjoy each day out....you could be dead next week.
12. you can't top a good rant

13. and oh by the way Radford149 has a birthday today, so fuck this doom and gloom and get drunk or have a good day on the back of this IMPORTANT message.

Happy birthday Radders, :s_drinks Agree with all you have said on this thread.

I think we will bounce back in style for sure. I will be at the Twente match Wednesday night and I am sure all the players frustrations will be taken out on Mclarens lads. I love this club, I love being a gooner and that will never change.
