even so.. i still believe wenger should come out and address the fans.. lets us know what is the reason we are not getting any body in.. he admit that we are short of bodies in midfield and kind of assure us he will try and get one or two in.. now nothing is done, and i hope to know why.. it may not be his fault for not signing anyone but well he kind of break his promise this time round..

why just because he did not do as you wanted or liked? he does not need to make you feel better. for your perceived inadequacies of the club

and please don't bore me with phrases such as "demand and supply" "the going rate". when a shit team like newcastle is prepared to give a "i prefer horses" muppet like owen completely obscene amounts of money for scant return because they are scared of the repercussions. it makes me sick to the pit of my stomach

Radders I didn't say it was fair in the real world, or even logical... but it is a sad fact of football... we won't pay the best wages - Ade could have got more elsewhere, but we do need to offer them a decent amount... if we pay our best players 30k and they can get 100/120/140k elsewhere, we will struggle to keep them. 60k is a compromise... its not nice, but it is a fact of football.

I know exactly what sacrificies we make... but that is our choice isn't it, and its part of football... I can honestly say I don't begrudge players high wages if they deserve it... I don't like seeing reserves earning 60k a week when sitting on the bench, thats just immoral.

It will be the third highest now, we're just behind United.

soory i don't buy that we need to keep pace, its called an inflationary wage spiral and when you go down that path (some would say we alreasdy have) there is no going back. fuck me those stupid city boys are giving robhino £160,000 a week and he was'nt even a regular at real. i love the fact that we at least try and keep a check on things. the sad thing is no-one but us wanted ade. i would have not paid him any extra until he had continued in last years scoring vein. what would he have done when noone else came in for him? thats right he would have got on with it. yes its my choice to attend matches but that does not give the authorities or sky the right to treat me like a cunt. and thats what the club the fa and those slags from sky/cuntenta do. it makes me fucking laugh when the fa rolled out its respect program. i thought what about the fans you desrespect EVERY week with your shitty kick-offs and stadium policies, shit food and sky high ticket prices. respect they don't even know the word.

i believe most are looking forward to see at least one or two signing in the middle of the park after what AW had said in previous interview regarding signing..

i don't mind the fact that we didn't sign anyone, what i mind is the fact that he actually came out and said he would do something to the squad which he himself admit he knows we are short in the middle. Now things are the same nothing had been done, shouldn't he comes out and address this.

he kind of made a promise which he didn't keep to it, it may not be his fault but now the promise isn't fufill so at least let fans know what had actually happen. In transfer window disapointment is bound to happen but at least let fans know what causes it.

no i don't think he should address the fans. the deals did'nt happen ....big deal. he did not promise anything and what do you want him to say. speak about the players he failed to sign? what good will that do other drive their price up should he go for them in January. a lot of people got themselves worked up over possible signings why? just wait and see who we sign its easier and a lot less stressful

the fact that many got themselves worked up over possible signings because everyone including wenger knows we are short in midfield. and because of what wenger said regarding signings it makes many look forward to what might happen and now nothing happen of course most fans got worked up while some even made their own wild guesses.

anyway i do agree with you that it is easier to wait and see who we sign. :s_drinks

Wenger is not the sort to have some confessional-type reveal to fans over his transfer business. He will always say that his squad is up to any task anyhow. He is not influenced by the fans, or he doesn't seem to be. Many of us are disappointed that we didn't get a DM AT LEAST this time, but what can we do? I think it is up to us now to just get behind the manager and the team and cheer for the boys to win. And we will win - a lot. There are many reasons to stay behind Arsenal. I could name about 26 of them right now but then Radford would go ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Agree, sheG. Waste of time, anyway with many fans calling him a liar!
I must admit I found it rather amusing that PHW said "we are not going to always do what the fans want". Think he must have been reading the shit on the officials.

Football is very important for a lot of people, sadly a lot of these same people know nothing about football. Just look at how West Ham treated Curbishley... Arsenal fans want the good football, which we get, but they also want results. West Ham [and a few other teams] are getting [relative] success but moan because they're not watching good football. They don't understand to get both takes time, patience and full backing of the board.

If public opinion on the officials was anything to go by, in recent times we'd have Curtis Davies in next to Toure, and Papa Bouba Diop [aka the calamity] as midfield partner for Cesc. Arsene and the board should ignore all these mugs, and I'm sure they will.

ill be the first to admit i was dissapointed at the lack of a signing, but that does not mean i want the board and manager sacked because of it....

the people on the officals are complete and utter twats ( the majorirty that is) who seem to think they are playing football manager on their pc
