God damn it...NOT what we needed right now, not at all.

I suppose the worst case scenario is that either Bendtner or Vela get some starts...

LONDON : Kevin Keegan launched a scathing attack on Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri following Newcastle's 3-0 English Premier League defeat on Saturday.

The Magpies manager was furious after the Frenchman scythed down Joey Barton towards the end of a lively clash at the Emirates stadium.

The pair had been involved in a running spat ever since Barton's introduction as an 89th-minute substitute.

Barton was making his first appearance in Newcastle colours following his release from prison after serving a 11 weeks of a six-month sentence for assault and he was greeted with a crescendo of boos from the home fans.

He quickly announced his return with a crunching tackle on Nasri, which left the winger crumpled on the floor, and moments later, the Arsenal player took revenge by clattering into the back of Barton's legs as he broke forward.

That tackle earned a yellow card from referee Rob Styles but Keegan believed Nasri should have been sent off for the incident and duly became involved in a heated confrontation with the former Marseille player and Arsenal captain William Gallas as the sides walked off at the final whistle.

"I wasn't happy with it," Keegan said. "Joey came on, got a good tackle in on Nasri and then the guy sliced him down. That's what happened and that's what I was upset about.

christ, keegan is deluded. nice to see nasri standing up for himself.. no pushover.

good performance from everyone involved, even eboue lol. adebayor again not troubling the scoresheet but was involved in a lot of the build play to the goals, fair enough.

worry about van persie, he walked off so let's hope it isnt broken. :(

Van Persie Injury Not Serious
Robin van Persie's injury is not as serious as first feared, and the Arsenal striker should now be fit enough to join up with the Holland squad for their opening World Cup qualifier against Macedonia.
The 25-year old and The Gunners played some of their most irresistable football on the way to a 3-0 drubbing of Newcastle United on Saturday, but the impressive win was marred by a serious-looking injury to the forward.

The mesmorising international released a venomous shot that skimmed off the bar, but in doing so appeared to injure his troublesome ankle and limped off the pitch, with club officials fearing it could spell yet another lengthy lay-off.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger admitted that the club were anxiously awaiting the results of an x-ray in order to assess the damage, but news from the club suggests the player suffered just bruising

Be calm. Fractures can be VERY difficult to spot on x-rays. A CT scan is the gold standard for detecting fractures so the fact that he's having a scan simply means that the club is being very thorough and not necessarily that something's wrong.

Alright, in any event, seems like RVP will be OK at this point. So, good job getting a brace, apparent medical crisis apparently averted. :D
