what the fuck is going on in football. we are becoming obssed with the fucking stats in a game. when i were young there were two stats.

1. whats the score?

2. who scored?

now ...............are you ready (please add what i have missed out)

1. assist

2. tackles

3. possesion

4. shots on target

5. shots off target

6. corners

7. how many times the home manager scratched his arse

8. minutes played

9. plus minutes played after normal time

10. meters run during a game (you're avin a laugh)

11. distance travelled during a match (who the fuck cares)

12. time spent by players who are going out on the raz later

13. gay porn site hits (ronaldo only)

14. minutes played whilst not conceding a goal, eating a donner (after a night on the lash)

feel free to add your own as i am now pissed off with the whole thing

that makes some sense in the NFL ... but in football ...

I think this whole culture is brought about by pundits and commentators who want to fill in as much time in their half-time show .. full-time show, review show and preview show .... I agree most of them are just plain f**kin ridiculous ...
