To be fair, the Kyiv goal was in NO WAY a penalty...just pointing that out...

So, anyway, good game, no injuries (sigh of relief for Clichy), and we're top of the table. Now we'll see where we stand after tomorrow's match between the Chavs and ManU

Good game... not an easy place to go and they were dirty fuckers as usual. Had 4 starters out so showed our depth today.

Almunia did really well, good game from him. Our first goal was offside, but then again their goal shouldn't have stood on two counts so levels itself up. The second goal was as good a team goal as we'll see for some time... exceptional stuff. Could have been 3/4/5-1 up at half time...

Just a note... Arsenal fans have really stuck into Song, Denilson, Almunia and Eboue previously. Well they are all improving and looking Arsenal quality, especially Eboue who totally deserved his goal. Just shows how much difference having confidence makes. Walcott looks class still, could have scored but for a top save and helped set up the third. Think Denilson now had three goals and three assists [at least] so far and there is still more to come from him. Good result, and we are back on top of the league which is always nice even if it is early days.

Good job by all involved and on the pitch, to be honest. Can't find much wrong with the display...good work, job well done, bring it on!

Good to see some not-so-often-scorers get on the tally sheet (Eboue, Nik, Deni).

Eh? Bendtner banged in 9 goals last season, same number as RvP (from fewer starts).

Touche...I suppose I should've said, "Good to see Nik continuing to play well." Is that better, Ben? :D

I have voiced my share of complaints about Eboue, but I admit he has improved wonderfully this year. Also had doubts about Denilson. This is the thing about young players. You can expect them to improve but you never know just how much (or how little) they will grow from season to season. Wenger sees them every day at the training ground, so when he came away from the transfer window with no more signings, he was less worried than we were.

Always liked Song. I know he had a few rough games with us, but I always liked his composure.

Good to see AW giving Theo a bit of a rest...he's always a sparkplug, but you don't want to run the risk of burning Theo out, etc.

So far, so good with him. The Great Dane has begun to cement himself as the first alternate striker...dunno how things'll shake out when Dudu gets back to full fitness, though.

Lots of competition, all good! Especially for Adebayor, who seems to need that.

Ade started the RVP-less period quite well, but definately tailed off later in the season. This season, I don't know if it'll be competition that'll get him really going or something else...though I suppose time will tell, won't it?
